Acceptance of the goods referred to in the Order by the Customer shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of these conditions.


When you place an order to purchase items using our Website or by other means, this is an offer by you to us to purchase such items. By ordering you are providing details which are true, accurate, current and complete and that the payment details are correct and your own.

We will confirm receipt of your order by sending you an email summarising the details of your order ('Order Confirmation E-mail'); this is the point at which we accept your order and the contract is formed (subject to these terms and conditions). The contract is completed when the goods are delivered (also subject to these terms and conditions)

These Terms will apply to any contract between us for the sale of any product including any order placed by you for any product over the Website.

Please read these Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them before ordering any product from our Website. You should save or print a copy of these Terms for future reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must cease using and accessing this Website.

Terms may be changed and updated from time to time and any changes will be effective from the publication of the new terms on the Website. Every time you wish to order products, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time.

We reserve the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we do cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.


From time to time The Cotswold Bed Company run promotions and offers on selected products or lines. A full list of the current offers can be found here at current offers, we refer to these collectively as our "Promotional Offers". All qualifying Promotional Offers will be automatically applied to your order on-line. All of our Promotional Offers are subject to the below terms and conditions:

1.They are only valid on full-priced items and cannot be used on sale or promotional items which are already discounted unless otherwise stated;

2.They cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer;

3.They are valid for a limited period of time as specified in the marketing communication on the website or in stores, they cannot be used outside of that period;

4.If an item is returned which brings the amount spent below any qualifying level, the offer value may be deducted from any refund; and;

5.All orders are subject to stock availability and we reserve the right to withdraw, amend or extend offers at any time, without prior notice.

Free standard delivery (normally £85.00) applies to online or telephone to the UK mainland only. Offer applies when order value, net of discounts or promotions, equals £50 or more.

Orders less than £50 will be charged £4.95 for UK standard delivery, which is our standard charge for bedding orders less than £50.


On occasions, The Cotswold Bed Company will release Shopping Codes via email or other marketing channels. The Shopping Codes enable a discount to be applied to your order as specified on the marketing communication. To apply the Shopping Code online enter it as requested during the Check Out process. The discount will then be applied to your order, subject to the terms and conditions below:

Dimensions and descriptions of items on the website and brochures are quoted as accurately as possible. The colours you see will depend on the resolution of your monitor and we cannot therefore guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will always reflect accurately the colour of the item delivered. We reserve the right from time to time to vary the dimensions, specifications, descriptions and quantities of items displayed on our website without prior notice.


All orders for Products are subject to the availability of those Products and the materials for making the Products. We will inform you as soon as possible after placing an order if, for any reason, the Products you have ordered are not available or are subject to any delay.

If we are unable to supply you with a Product, for example, because the manufacturer is out of stock or because of an error in the price, we will inform you of this by email and we will not process your order. If you have already paid for the Product we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible.


All prices quoted on this Website are accurate at the time of publication, are quoted in pounds sterling and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. The delivery charge is an additional cost, please refer to our Delivery Information for full details

Our website uses Barclaycard eDPQ to process the payments. You can therefore rest assured that we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously. You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the www.thecotswoldbedcompany.com in your browser address window. A small locked padlock will also appear in the bottom bar of your browser window.

Full payment for merchandise is required on checkout for any orders totalling under £1000 inclusive of VAT and any delivery charges.

A deposit of 50% of the total price is payable on check out if the order totals £1000 or higher, with the full balance due within 14 days of the Customer being notified that the Goods are available for delivery (the deemed delivery date), whether or not actual delivery occurs, and notwithstanding any agreement by the company to postpone actual delivery.


Please note that a delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate. Please see our delivery times and charges. Any subsequent change of address may incur an additional delivery charge. Goods will be assembled where appropriate.

Whilst all reasonable endeavours will be made to adhere to delivery dates quoted at the time of an order being placed, such dates must be viewed as approximate estimates only, given in good faith and based upon the information available to us at the time. We will not accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience suffered by delivery delay.

We offer a delivery service in accordance with the timescales shown against each Product on our site. Please note that delivery timescales are estimates. You can find out more about our Product delivery by reading the information on the delivery page of our site. . If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date, we will contact you with a revised estimated delivery date.

Responsibility for goods, once ordered, will rest with the Customer who must ensure that the goods will fit through relevant door and passageways. On delivery, the Customer must ensure that all obstructions are removed, and that valuables are safeguarded against accidental damage. The Cotswold Bed Company and its logistic partners will not be held responsible for removing furniture or other items from any room into which the goods are delivered.

Bedding items that are being delivered to UK mainland addresses are normally delivered within 3-7 working days from receipt of your order to us. Subject to goods being in stock. During busy periods and for special items, delivery times may vary.

Bedsteads, Divans, Headboards, Mattresses and Bedroom Accessories are individually made therefore delivery times can vary depending on the manufacturing process.  All orders are delivered via our appointed logistics partner, who will contact you to arrange an agreeable delivery date. Items will be placed in the designated room by a two man delivery team, and all items of packaging will be removed and recycled accordingly.

For overseas deliveries please see our Delivery information for prices and lead times. All overseas deliveries are subject to availability of service, accessibility to property, local customs costs/regulations, shipment size and transport mode.  


Cancellations sent to the Company in writing by letter or email and received by the Company within 7 working days of the order date will be accepted.


The Cotswold Bed Company is committed to ensuring that your mattress provides you with the best possible night’s sleep, and we will allow you to trial the mattress for a maximum of 28 nights with an option to replace the mattress free of charge for a softer or firmer mattress of the same type.


This offer applies to The Cotswold Bed Company Mattresses, and does not apply to Divans, Headboards and Accesories.

This offer does not apply to Hypnos  Mattresses & Divans or any other Hypnos Products

This offer can be used at any time but must be requested before 28 nights have lapsed from the date of delivery of the original product.

If the Buyer decides their choice of mattress is proving uncomfortable, they may re-select to an alternative mattress tension of the same mattress type. ie if the buyer had selected a medium tension mattress they can exchange it for a firm mattress, and vice versa. If you want to replace your Mattress within the first 28 days after you receive the goods, then please send an email to sales@thecotswoldbedcompany.com

Re-delivery charges will be charged if you take up this option and the offer is limited to one exchange per product ordered.

The original mattress must be kept in good condition (not marked, mis-used or soiled in any way) and a mattress protector must be used during the trial period.

Mattresses shipped outside the United Kingdom mainland areas are not eligible for this offer.


We hope you will love your purchase, but if you find it unsuitable or you’re not entirely satisfied, please notify us within 14 days by telephone or    e-mail info@thecotswoldbedcompany.com of your intention to return the product(s). We ask that you return products to us unused, in their original packaging which should be both intact and sealed. You will be entitled to a refund or replacement if returned products reach us within 28 days. Please ensure that returns are packed and labelled carefully so that they are not lost or damaged in transit.

Heavy goods items can be taken away at the point of delivery free of charge, but if you subsequently decide to return the products, it may take up to 28 days for collection (40 days for more remote areas) and a charge of £50 will be made. Please contact our customer services department on 0333 2079767 to arrange returns of heavy goods.

Certain items are excluded from our returns policy for hygiene reasons. These items can only be returned in accordance with your legal rights and are mattresses, duvets, pillows, mattress toppers, mattress protectors and linen if the sealed packaging has been opened, unless the item is found to be faulty. Return of an item is at your own cost unless the item is faulty.

The Cotswold Bed Company do not give refunds on the following items:

  • Items returned after 28 days.

  • Damaged items not notified by telephone or e-mail to us within 14 days.

  • Bespoke pieces including made-to-measure Headboards, Bedsteads, Divans, Furniture Accessories or any other bespoke items, unless the item is faulty.

  • Mattresses cannot be returned once taken out of the original packaging for hygiene reasons.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


Ownership of the Products will pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.

The Products will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.


To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Cotswold Bed Company accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of this website or any information contained therein.


We will not be responsible to you for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control.


We reserve the right at any time to make changes to this website, these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, Privacy Policy and such other policies as we may notify you of. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time you use the website or place an order items from the website or other means. Changes which we are required to make by law could apply to orders which you have already made. If any of the terms and conditions forming the contract between us are deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.


If you breach these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and we take no action we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in other situations where you are in breach.


These General Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, as do We.
