Cancellations

You may cancel your order within 14 days of placing the order if your purchases have not been dispatched. Please contact our customer service team on 01242 300392 or email info@thecotswoldbedcompany.com if you wish to cancel your order.

If 14 days have passed since placing your order or your item has already been dispatched, please see our return policy below.

 

Returns

We do hope that you love your purchase, however, if you find it unsuitable or it does not meet expectations, please notify us within 14 days by telephone 01242 300392 or email info@thecotswoldbedcompany.com to arrange a return. We ask that you return products to us unused, in their original packaging which should be both intact and sealed. You will be entitled to a refund or replacement if returned products reach us within 28 days. Please ensure that returns are packed and labelled carefully so that they are not lost or damaged in transit.

Heavy goods items may be taken from the original delivery address at a fee. It may take up to 28 days for collection (40 days for more remote areas). Please contact us to arrange returns of heavy goods.

Certain items are excluded from our returns policy for hygiene reasons. These items can only be returned in accordance with your legal rights. Mattresses, duvets, pillows, mattress toppers, mattress protectors and linen if the sealed packaging has been opened, unless the item is found to be faulty, a return will not be granted. Return of an item is at your own cost unless the item is faulty.

The Cotswold Bed Company is unable to offer refunds on the following items:

  • Items not returned within 28 days
  • Damaged items not notified by telephone or email to us within 14 days
  • Bespoke pieces including made-to-measure Headboards, Bedsteads, Divans, Furniture Accessories or any other bespoke items, unless the item is faulty
  • Mattresses cannot be returned once taken out of the original packaging for hygiene reasons

This does not affect your statutory rights.

 

Which Items Cannot Be Returned?

Once the sealed packaging has been opened, unless the item is faulty, certain items are excluded from our returns policy for health and hygiene purposes.

Unfortunately, we are unable to return opened and used Mattresses, Duvets, Pillows, Mattress Toppers, Mattress Protectors or Bed Linen, unless faulty on arrival.

We ask that you return products to us unused, unwashed and with their original packaging and seal intact. Return of an item is at your own cost unless the item is faulty.

 

How Do I Return an Item?

Heavy Items - Mattresses, Beds, Divans, Headboards, Chairs & Furniture

  • Please notify us within 14 days after you place your order or once the item is delivered. Our customer service team will advise you on the best choice for return. For heavy items that cannot be returned by post, please contact our customer service team who will arrange your return.

Small Items - Linen, Pillows, Bedding, Candles, Towels

  • Please notify us within 14 days of having placed the order or once the item is delivered. Our customer service team will advise you on the best return option for your products.

After the return request has been confirmed, you will be able to send your return by post. Parcels are returned at your own cost. We strongly recommend you return items with a certificate of postage / recorded delivery as we are not responsible for your parcel. Items lost in transit will not be treated as returned.

The Tax Invoice that came with your parcel will contain clear instructions of how to do this. Please complete the reverse side of the Tax Invoice with the details of the items you are returning and enclose the note with your returned parcel. Please add a daytime telephone number and email address in case we need to contact you.

If you no longer have your delivery note, please include a letter with your name, address, email address, daytime telephone number, and customer number if possible. Please include information about the item being returned and the reason for doing so. Please return your items safely and securely packaged to our address:
