You may not think that your bedding would contain toxic chemicals, but unfortunately many bedding manufacturers are still using toxic bleaches, dyes and chemicals which are not only harmful to the planet, they are harmful to you.
For example, sheets which are labelled as ‘wrinkle-free’, typically contain a formaldehyde finish, a toxic chemical which can cause a sore throat, teary eyes, and blocked sinuses. Many conventional white sheets are bleached with chlorine-based chemicals to get that crisp-white ‘hotel look’, these chemicals are highly irritating to your skin.
We don't believe that chemicals are necessary to create a luxurious nights sleep.
This is why we are so proud to share that all of our bedding has been awarded the Okeo-Tex Standard 100 Certification.
This means that every part of our bedding including threads, zips and buttons contain no chemicals which are harmful for human health. The test which is carried out by an independent body and is based on extensive criteria which takes into account regulated and non-regulated substances that could be harmful to human health. This goes beyond the standard British and International Requirements for bedding, and the catalog is updated at least once a year with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements.
Because of this, we can say that our bedding is completely free of harmful chemicals, providing you with a blissful nights sleep that is good for you and the environment.
